Betty M. Card, age 74 of Rose City, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at her home. Betty had lived in Rose City for most of her life. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the Rose City-Lupton Historical Society and a former member of the Rose City Lioness. She volunteered at the Antique Village at the Ogemaw County Fair and for Hospice of Helping Hands. Betty is survived by her brothers, Dick (Kathy) Card of West Branch and Ted Card of Tennessee, her special cousin, Becky (Jim) Meir and their daughters Karen and Molly Meir of Rose City and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ardath Card and a sister Mary Mallafferty. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Donald Wojewski will officiate with burial following at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton.
