Betty Jean Teeples, age 91, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born on March 31, 1929 in Saginaw to Betty Arntz. Betty married Lewis E. Teeples in West Branch on October 6, 1945. She has lived in Rose City since 1988, formerly of Flint. Betty enjoyed mowing the lawn, fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles and being outdoors. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Lewis Teeples of Rose City; daughters, Gloria Whitener of Flint and Rita (Michael) Payne of Rose City; grandchildren, Deborah, Lisa, Tasha (Troy), Matthew (Jessica), and Karista (Bub); 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; step brother, Howard Woodbeck of Flint. She is preceded in death by her great grandson, Nathaniel Payne and step brothers, Donald, Robert, Harry, Leonard and Donald Woodbeck.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Heights Cemetery in Lupton. Pastor Roger Green will officiate.
Visitation for Betty will be held with precautions due to the current pandemic and limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
