Barbara Louise Vamplew

Barbara Louise Vamplew, age 60, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She lived in St. Helen approximately 20 years, formerly of Westland, Michigan. She attended St. Helen Catholic Church, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of St. Helen and the Red Hat Society. Barbara enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, scrabble, fishing and loved to e-mail. She spent her winters in Florida. Surviving family members include her significant other Richard Oneski of St. Helen, brother Doug Beatty of Mio, brother Rob Beatty of Red Oak, Michigan and sister Loretta (Kent) Burke of Taylor, Michigan. Also surviving Barbara are two nieces Tracy (Jon) Segerstrom of Taylor, Michigan and Katy (Chris) Spencer of Southgate, Michigan. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband James Vamplew and her mother Mary Busby. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Barbara will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Sister Barbara Matievich, O.P. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
