Augusta M. Hillier

Augusta Mae Hillier passed away Saturday January 18, 2009 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch she was 93 years old. Augusta has lived in St. Helen since 1965 previously of Flint. Augusta was a member of the Lake St. Helen Baptist Church in St. Helen. She was very active in the church playing the piano and keeping the cafeteria stocked with groceries. She liked to keep busy, weather it was just going to town for supplies or helping out a neighbor. She enjoyed crocheting and was a Foster Mother for over 10 years. Augusta is survived by her daughter Betty (Robert) Carlton of West Branch. Four grandchildren Shelley Miller of Oklahoma City, Calvin Eaton of Auburn, Mark Eaton of Flint and Dawn Reed of Burch Run. Eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold and son Ivan Hillier. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday January 27, 2009 at 1:30 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen. The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:30 prior to the service. Pastor Roger Green will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bortz Health Care of West Branch.
