Arne E. Halme

Arne E. Halme, age 78, of St. Helen, Michigan , formerly of Detroit, died suddenly at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Arne had lived in St. Helen since 1972. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of VFW Post #5680 and the West Branch Fraternal Order of Eagles. Arne is survived by his beloved partner of 40 years, Janis Hendrickson of St. Helen, his daughter Mary (Jerry) Brown of Gaylord; two granddaughters, Stacie Brown of Grand Blanc and Kristina Rock of Gaylord and two great-grand daughters, Emelie and Kaitlyn Rock both of Gaylord. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sylvia Halme and a brother. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 29, 2007 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, 702 N. St. Helen Rd., St. Helen, MI. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
