Andrew Ralph Thompson

Andrew R. Thompson, age 56, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. Andrew was born in Pontiac, Michigan on Sunday, September 8, 1957 to Willard and Marie Lorraine Thompson. He lived in Gingellville, MI. He enlisted in the US Navy after his high school graduation. After his military career he moved to New Baltimore (Anchor Bay Area), MI until moving to Lupton, MI in 2007. Andrew retired from the US Government Arsenal Base in Warren, MI as Fire Captain. He also retired from the US Navy and Army Reserves. He enjoyed firefighting, fishing, singing, dancing, karaoke, and cooking. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Hale. He is survived by his wife, Jean Thompson; daughters: Kristin and Megan; step-children: Melissa Mynes of Winchester, KY and Daryl (Kim) Mynes II of Adrian, MI; step-grandchildren: Lisa, Rebeca, Abigail, Adriana, Peyton, and Preston; great-grandchild, Phoenix; father: Willard Ray Thompson; brother Eugene (Luann) Thompson of Rose City, MI; sisters: Marie (Robert) Keklak of Houghton Lake, MI and Leslie Thompson of Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City, MI will be Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose, City. The Fraternal Order of Eagles of Hale, MI will officiate.
