Amerigo "Mickey" R. Miotto

MIOTTO, Amerigo, R., "Mickey" age 91. Passed away February 28, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Mickey worked at Detroit Edison for 41 years, after retiring from Edison he drove for Quallefic for more that 10 years. He was a WWII veteran and was part of the 452 Quartermasters. Mick enjoyed spending countless hours just "putzing" and doing it "just right". He loved to tell stories, especially to his grandchildren. He passed along so many important bits of information to his family, like making sure they all knew how to change a spare tire, and the value of carrying a little pencil in your wallet. His little catch phrases were endless. He loved the simple things in life, like McDonalds cheeseburgers, and Oreo cookies. Most of all Mick was a family Man, and loved spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of Anne for 65 cherished years. Loving father of Patricia (Terry) McLaren, Carol (Kent) Maconochie, John (Gretchen), Michael (Cindy), and MaryAnn (Jack) Sellers. Proud grandfather of Ryan, Rachel, Kerri, Charlotte, Tony, Alex, Kelly, Meghan, Mickey, Mark, Michelle, Jessica, Clayton, Josh, and great-grandfather of 11. Dear brother of Virginia (Don) Schweikhart. Predeceased by his siblings Olga Gilbert and Roger Miotto.

Visitation Monday 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd). Funeral Tuesday instate 9:30am at St. Isidore Catholic Church 18201 23 Mile Rd @ Romeo Plank until time of Mass 10am.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery.
