Alma E. Herriman

Alma Emmareda Herriman, age 93, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation in Houghton Lake, MI. Alma lived in St. Helen since 1973, formerly from Flint. She was born to Louis and Emma Layman on September 22, 1920 in Darke Co., OH. Alma enjoyed bingo, crafts, casino trips, “One Arm Bandits”, NASCAR, euchre, and word search puzzles. Alma is survived by her children; Larry (Bernadette) Wieler of St. Helen, MI, Elaine Stewart of Tallassee, AL, Jerry Wieler of St. Helen, MI, Pamela (Tony) Patsey of Durand, MI, Michael (Beth) Herriman of Prudenville, MI, her step children; Richard, Ron, Larry and Carol Ann, 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters; Rose (Jim) Swiger of Lima, OH, Ruth (Jerry) Malueg of Wapakenta, OH, and Fay (Harley) Jones, Salina, OH. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Wieler, second husband, Howard Herriman, son, Ronald H. Wieler, great granddaughter, Suzuette Newcombe, son-in-law, Roger Stewart and brothers and sisters, Virgil, Francis, Barb, Mary, John and James. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Tim LaVere will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
