Alan Leslie Stonhouse Jr.

Alan Leslie Stonhouse Jr., age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. He had lived in West Branch for the past 7 years, formerly of Flushing, MI. Alan was born on September 28, 1923 in Flint, MI to Alan and Pauline (Rubel) Stonhouse. On July 7, 1944 he married Mary Evans in Hayes, KS. Alan served in the Army Air Force during World War II and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. He enjoyed walking and feeding the birds.

Alan is survived by his children, John (Cindy) Stonhouse of Leakesville, MS and Kathleen (Ed) Bergeron of St. Helen, MI; grandchildren, Megan Goodman, Jean-Paul Bergeron, Ronelle Kuhnhenn, and Preston Stonhouse; great grandchildren, Leyla Bergeron and Carlyle Goodman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary in 2016 and brother, Robert.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later time.
