Alton Cornell Coulter, age 56 of St. Helen, passed away Saturday March 23, 2013 at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. Alton was born in Detroit, MI the son of Alton and Myrtes Coulter. He had lived in St. Helen since 1992, formerly of Warren. Cornell was a member of the H.O.G. Chapter of West Branch and he enjoyed hosting annual pig roast, bowling, playing drums, riding motorcycles, playing pool and being home with family and friends. Cornell is survived by his wife Patty Coulter of St. Helen, children; Bobby Liberty of St. Helen, Melissa Coulter of St. Helen, Jessica (Nate) Baldwin of Sumter, SC and Alton Coulter Jr. of St. Helen, grandchildren; Alex, Brendin, Joanie, Xavier and baby Jemma on the way. Also surviving are his brothers, John (Connie) Kleinhelter of Loganville, GA, Danny (Sandra) Brewer of Wickliffe, KY, Wendell (Kim) Garrett of Attica and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin Friday, March 29, 2013 from 1-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pastor Roger Green will officiate.
