Mildred A. (Millie) Sheply

May 29, 1915 — September 29, 2013

Mildred Anna (Millie) Sheply passed away in her sleep Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her home, with her family and her Angel Friends at her side. Mildred has gone home to unite with her family that has gone before her. We will all meet again someday. Millie lived in Rose City her entire life. She was born Mary 29, 1915 to Ivan and Anna Nye. She married George (Jack) Sheply on June 9, 1934. She and Jack had three children and her most treasured moments were those caring for her family. Millie retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 25 years. She is survived by her son Gary (Dalene) Sheply, her daughter Colleen Woelke, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Millie was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her son Ivan (Skip). Millie has been so blessed to have her Angel Friends with her for many years and we are so grateful to them. We also would like to thank Hospice Advantage for the care they provided. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. On Wednesday, Millie will lie in state at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Rose City beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jody Coon will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Women or to Hospice Advantage.
