Maxine V. King, age 89 of West Branch, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 at her home. She had lived in West Branch since 2001, formerly of Pickford and Oxford. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and housekeeping. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Lakeland, FL. Mrs. King is survived by her children Colleen (Leslie) Sellers of West Branch, Leonard (Sally) King of Bartow, FL and James (Patricia) King of College Place, WA, grandchildren, Jonathan and David Sellers, Michael (Charlotte) King, Sheila (Gerald) Wise, Thomas King, Wendy (Auden) Lujan, Jared King, and Jerry King . Great Grandchildren Amber and Andrew Wise and Keili Lujan and Mathew King. Brother Wayne (Rebecca) Osborne of Bellaire, sisters Beverly Spoor of Plainwell, and Janet (Floyd) Adams of Missouri. There are also many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald, brothers Junior, Wilbur, and Donovan Osborne, and sisters Naomi Kosiara and Erma Jane Osborne. Visitation for Mrs. King will begin Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 4-9PM at the Steuernol and McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. The funeral will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch. Les Sellers will officiate. Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands or the Ogemaw Hills Christian Schools.
