Karen Marie Otter

Karen Marie Otter, age 60, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home in Alger, MI. She was born on February 21, 1958 in Bay County, MI to Carl and Leona (Derocher) Dean. Karen had lived in Alger for the past 18 years, formerly of West Branch, MI. She worked at Hanks of Alger for 15 years cooking and catering for events. Karen was a member of the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation and MI Bear Hunters Association. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, camping and spending time with her family. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas.

Karen is survived by her husband of 18 years, Larry Bialobrzeski of Alger, MI; children, Joseph (Laura) Dean of Essexville, MI, David (Krystal) Dean of West Branch, Eric (Peter) Dean of Miami, FL, Erek Jacobs of Alger, Rachael Jacobs of Alger, Aleisha (Chris) Hepfer of Alger; and Ryan (Angie) Bialobrzeski of Alger; grandchildren, Allysen, Kaylee, Isaac, Olivia, Cyrenia, Brooke, and Bryce; brother, Tim (Vanessa) Dean of Taylor, MI; and sister, Denise Dean of Vassar, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Luncheon to follow the service at Hank’s of Alger until 4:00 p.m.
