Imogene Steuernol

Esta Imogene Steuernol, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2011 at the age of 92 living in Portland, Oregon. Imogene was born June 8, 1918 in Paden City, West Virginia to Maye and Edgar Slider. She trained to be a teacher at Ogemaw County Normal in West Branch, Michigan and then taught school in Lake Orion, Michigan. She married Wynne J. Steuernol on July 5, 1941, and they raised two children, E. Slider Steuernol and Janis "Jane" Scovill in West Branch. She is survived by her daughter "Janie" and her husband Nick, her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Steuernol, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Imogene was preceded in death by her husband Wynne and her son, Fr. E. Slider Steuernol. A funeral for Imogene was held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home in Portland, Oregon. A Graveside Service will be held at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Her nephew, Pastor Jeff Slider will officiate.
