Charles J. Auer

March 11, 1926 — November 27, 2003

Mr. Auer passed away at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. He had been a resident of West Branch since 1994, and was a resident manager for Maplewood Manor for 10 years. He was a life member of the VFW, a campground host for Rifle River Campground in Lupton and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Auer is survived by his wife Doris Auer of West Branch, children--Timothy (Janie) Auer of Libby Montana, Marsha (Larry) Whisman and Jana Healey both of Rose City, Wendy (Gregory) Adamczyk of Bay City, 15 grandchildren--Tim, Angie, Kevin, Kim, Kara, Kristy, Karla, Kendra, Jeffery, John, Amanda, Stephanie, Jillian, Troy and Travis, 7 great-grandchildren--Shaylee, Ashlee, Mariah, Brady, Nickolas, Faile' and Kyrie, several nieces and nephews, a brother in law Bill (Janice) Bennett of Gladwin and a sister in law Helen (John) Davis of Essexville. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Craig Neubecker, 4 brothers and 1 sister. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Friday December 5, 2003 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. John Munn will officate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
