Cecelia Marie Johnson

Cecelia Marie Johnson, age 77, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her home in St. Helen, MI. She had lived in St. Helen since 1995, formerly of Detroit, MI. Cecelia was born on April 11, 1940 to John and Mary (Uszynski) Slesinski in Windber, PA. She was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church and the Catholic Council of Women. Cecelia was a Eucharist Minister and Catechist teacher at church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and making crafts.

Cecelia is survived by her sisters, Blanche (Andrew) Sobieralski of Warren, MI and Jane Lemke of Utica, MI; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael Johnson.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Father Wayne Dziekan and Sister Barbara Matievich O.P. will officiate.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
